It will be an opportunity for councilĀ and residents to better understand the “fundamentals of municipal fire protection.”
Hastings Highlands’ Fire Chief Danny Koroscil will be a part of the educational awareness session coming up on Friday. He says that while it’s mainly for council, residents are welcome to attend.
Koroscil says they will be covering legislation, guidelines and standards,Ā policies,Ā procedures, due diligence, roles and responsibilities of municipal firefighters among other things.
“It’s so (council ) have a sound understanding when it comes to making decisions of the budget, the levels of service and those sorts of things,” Koroscil says on the importance of the session.
It will be held this Friday starting at 10 AM at the council chamber in Maynooth.
