Two residents were caught within a day of each other driving with suspended licenses.
The first happened in around 2 AM on March 5th when Bancroft OPP was patrolling Hastings Street North and saw a vehicle commit drive through a red light. After stopping the vehicle and speaking with the drivers, officers found out she was driving with a suspended license.
The 60-year-old Highlands East resident was charged with failing to stop at a red light and driving while under suspension.
The next day, officers were patrolling Bridge Street West and noticed a vehicle stopped by the road. They ran the vehicle’s plates to check the status of the owners’ license and found it was suspended. After speaking with the driver, the 54-year-old Bancroft resident was charged with driving with a suspended license.
Both were released on a summons to attend court in April.
