An update now on a story we brought you yesterday about an overpayment scam in Bancroft. The Killaloe OPP are now reporting that a local resident was a victim in a similar scam. They say they got a complaint after someone posted a painting for sale on Kijiji. The seller listed the painting for $100 but received a cheque in the mail for $2,469. The OPP say this is a scam and that you should watch out for similar online fraud.
