Three Bancroft Residents Arrested in Peterborough For Shooting Paintball Gun at Car

Peterborough OPP stopped a vehicle on Highway 28 in North Kawartha Township on Friday.

They were searching for the three occupants after getting a call from Highway 28 at Young’s Point around 11:30 AM Friday. The complainant reported that his car was shot at multiple times with a paintball gun.

After officers pulled the suspect’s vehicle over, they arrested the three males in the car. A 26-year-old, 21-year-old and a 15-year-old were charged with:

  • Mischief under $5,000
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Three counts of possession of a schedule I controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking

All three are slated to appear in court in Peterborough in May.
