Multiple Closures After Weekend Flooding

UPDATE, 04/26 @ 10 AM: The bridge structure at Parks Road in Hastings Highlands has been closed.

UPDATE, 04/24 @ 8 AM: The York River Bridge at Slabtown has been closed.

UPDATE, 4/23 @ Noon: High Falls Trail and Dam in Hastings Highlands have been closed for public safety.

UPDATE, 04/23 @ 7 AM: Little Mississippi Bridge on Boulter Road in Carlow-Mayo Township is open.

UPDATE, 04/22 @ 2 PM: Maxwell Settlement Road and Clark Lake Road have been opened are both fully accessible. 

The Town of Bancroft sent out a notice about the road closures stemming from the weekend flooding.

Bronson Road from Old L’Amable Road at #616 Bronson is closed, with the other half of Bronson Road being closed at #690 from Highway 28 above the steel bridge flooded as well.

Quarry Road is closed above the intersection of Bronson at the river hill at #530 Quarry Road.

Riverside, Millennium and Churchill Parks have been closed off to vehicle and pedestrian traffic until further notice.

The Town advises you use caution when driving in the areas of Bronson, Quarry, Old L’Amable and Landon roads. Water has breached many other roads and businesses in the area. The Town notes that while the York River continues to rise, it has not yet reached its peak. They advise residents to be cautious and take the appropriate precautions, especially if you have a historic susceptibility to flooding.
