OPP Lays Over 10 000 Charges During Long Weekend

More than 1000 charges are laid for driving unbuckled Province-wide.

The OPP wrapped up its provincial seat belt campaign which happened over Easter long weekend.

They say that police focussed on unsafe driving behaviours, laying more than 10 200 traffic-related charges across Ontario.

More than 6 400 were charged with speeding and 1 500 were seat belt related charges.

They say that although their focus targets bad driving behaviours, during their traffic safety campaigns, the OPP says they are always on the lookout to enforce all traffic laws.
