Visitors Are Asked to Watch Their Step in Algonquin Park

Tread lightly when travelling in Algonquin Park.

Ontario Parks says banks and shorelines close to bodies of water within the park are very slippery and unstable. This makes the monitoring and supervision of children and pets extremely important.

They add that visitors should be cautious when using access roads because many are prone to washouts and may be impassable due to the current water levels.

They say they are closely monitoring developing watershed conditions within the Provincial Park and that they’ve set up barricades where dangerous driving conditions have been spotted.
