Bancroft’s first hazardous waste day of the year will be this weekend at the Dungannon Waste Site.
You can drop-off aerosols, antifreeze, batteries, corrosives, fire extinguishers, fluorescent tubes and bulbs, flammable liquids(gas, thinners), households cleaners, mercury devices, oxidizing liquids/solids (fertilizers, pool chemicals), paint & paint-related materials, pesticides, propane tanks, pharmaceuticals, solvents, vehicle batteries, and waste oil & filters.
They will not be accepting explosives, industrial commercial & institutional waste, pathological waste, PCB-contaminated waste, radioactive waste, and unknowns.
The event is for Bancroft residents only. You will need a municipal waste site card for entry. It will be happening this Saturday from 9 AM until 2 PM at the Dungannon Waste Site on 164 Pinnacle Road.
