Applications are being accepted to work with Hastings Highlands’ building & planning department.
The $14 an hour position is partly funded by Service Canada and the municipality. Hastings Highlands’ chief building official Martin Cox says M.P. for Hastings-Lennox and Addington Mike Bossio called last Tuesday to tell them that they have been accepted for the program.
Cox says any applicants should be studying or interested in construction, planning, architecture or engineering. If accepted, they will get the chance to work with homeowners, contractors, architects, engineers and with the Hastings County planning department. Cox says they will also get a chance to review permit submissions and learn about the planning process.
You have until May 10th to submit your application.
