McHappy Day in Bancroft Sets a Record

$4,000 was raised for McHappy Day in Bancroft, which tops last year’s record of $3,500.

$1 was donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities from the sale of every Big Mac, hot drink or McHappy meal along with the sale of the hearts that are displayed throughout the restaurant. General manager Sam Worthington says the money raised locally will go to the Quinte Children’s Foundation’s “Camp for Hope” program. “They help fund local kids to go to camps who might not have been able to on their own,” he says.

“We truly appreciate how McHappy Day keeps growing every year,” Worthington says. “Obviously we can’t do this kind of fundraising without the support of our guests and the community.”

$6.5 million was raised throughout Canada on Wednesday for McHappy Day. You can see photos of the day on our Facebook page.
