Grade 10 students at North Hastings High School in Bancroft are writing the provincial Literacy Test today. Students in all English classes – academic, applied and locally developed – will write the test. A pass is mandatory to graduate high school. In the 2013-2014 school year, 75 percent of students across the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board passed the test the first time.
