A motorcycle was destroyed by a fire and the two occupants were sent to hospital after a crash with another vehicle on Sunday afternoon in Highlands East.
Highway 118 between Monck Road and Loop Road was closed for 10 hours while the collision was investigated. Bancroft and Haliburton OPP officers went to the scene along with Haliburton County Paramedic Services, Hastings Quinte Paramedic Services and Highlands East Fire Department.
The driver of the motorcycle was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, while the passenger was suffering from non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
