Stewards of Eagles Nest Looking For Volunteers For Park Clean-up

As many hands as possible are needs to keep Eagles Nest Park clean.

Chair of the Stewards of Eagles Nest Dora Yateman says there are 12 volunteers so far, but more are needed. “The tasks will be putting up signage, brochure holders, checking doggie bag holders, clearing trails where needed, picking up litter, and completing the trails risk assessment reports to monitor for erosion, danger trees, and other items listed on our report,” she explains.

“All of our clean trail ambassadors have a love of nature and want to keep the park free of litter, and ensure a positive visitors experience, and to avoid negative impact on the environment and wildlife,” Yateman says. She knows it’s important to keep the trail clean. “The trails also lead our visitors to inspirational places and experiences and supports learning for all our visitors,” she says.

The clean-up is happening Saturday, June 22nd from 9 AM until 2 PM at Eagles Nest. If you can help out you’re being asked to email [email protected] or call 613-332-7020.
