Bancroft Councillor Honoured For Working With Hastings County For 25 Years

Bancroft Councillor Andra Kauffeldt was presented with a plaque to honour her 25 years of service with Hastings County.

“I’m the one that’s honoured to be able to serve my community in this capacity over the last 25 years,” she says.

Before the photo op, the work Kauffeldt has done over the years was detailed. She started out with the County in 1994 during her last year of High School. Since then she’s worked as a receptionist, a case aid, Municipal employment planner, eligibility review officer and as a caseworker before landing on her current job: case supervisor. “It’s been wonderful being able to work in different areas of the County,” she says.

When asked if there are one or two memories that stick out to her over her years with the County, she says she can’t choose just one. Kauffeldt says each job has “wonderful” memories so it’s hard to pick just one. “They’re all so critical to the health and well-being of our community,” she says.

Now, as a Councillor in the Town she was born and raised in, she says it’s the perfect spot for her. “It’s nice that for the latter part of my career I can be in the community I was born and raised in,” Kauffeldt says.
