Hastings Highlands Announces Hazardous Waste Days

Residents of Hastings Highlands will be able to drop off hazardous waste on July 20th and October 19th this year.

They will be both be held at 6 ANAF Road from 9 AM until 2 PM.

You can drop off automotive and garbage products like antifreeze, batteries and battery acid or motor oil. Household cleaning products like chlorine bleach and oven and window cleaners can also be taken, along with paints and other paint-related materials. Pesticides and garden products can be dumped also and other miscellaneous products like propane cylinders, BBQ lighter fluids, nail polish and polish remover, thermometers and pool chemicals and bleach.

They will not be accepting commercial, industrial or institutional wastes, radioactive material, explosives, fireworks, ammunition, biological wastes, PCB wastes, helium, freon tanks or unknown waste. It’s noted that electronics and tires will be accepted at either hazardous waste day as well.
