The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is issuing a water safety statement for the Bancroft region this weekend. It says the forecasted warm temperatures for the rest of the week and then colder ones over the Easter long weekend mean that up to 30 millimetres of rain could fall. It adds that while there is no flood risk as of yet, property owners should make sure their sump pumps are working and that outdoor items are tied down.
