Hastings Highlands Inviting Residents to Take Part in “Reusable Goods Day”

This Saturday the municipality is asking residents to put any reusable goods they no longer need on the curb and mark them as “free” for people to take.

“Use your discretion when deciding whether or not to put items out to the curb,” the municipality says. “Items should still be in good condition for re-use or able to be repaired.”

If there are items you leave that go unclaimed, the municipality suggests donating them to charitable organizations or taking them to the landfill. All unclaimed items have to be removed from curbside by 7 PM the next day.

They note that you should keep items you want to keep inside or away from the unwanted items to avoid confusion.

There will be another reusable goods day on October 19th.
