Haliburton may not be Kraft Hockeyville 2015, but a resident who spearheaded the town’s application says he is proud of how the community rallied together for the cause. Bob Stinson, chair of branch 54 for CARP, says although it was a disappointment not to win, this small town put up a good fight.
For being in the top 10, Haliburton’s A.J. Larue Arena will get $25,000. Stinson says the municipality plans to use the cash to insulate the building’s outer walls to make it more efficient and comfortable.
