50-year-old Rosanne Gutoskie of Bancroft has been charged with arson after starting a fire on a property on Woodview Lane in Bancroft.
It happened on Tuesday just before 10 PM when Bancroft OPP was called to assist with a fire at the property to assist the Bancroft Fire Department and the Hastings-Quinte Paramedic Services.
Gutoskie was found on the property by police with officers taking her into custody and later charging her with arson – disregard for human life and failing to comply with a probation order.
She will have her bail hearing Wednesday in Belleville.
The OPP’s forensic identification unit will work with the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshall to investigate the fire.
