A by-law has been passed to approve a new Treasurer for the Town of Bancroft.
The township says the new Treasurer Bill Davie is a fully chartered accountant. He has recently finished a 2 year job with Peterborough Utilities as their Chief Financial Officer. The township says he is a well-rounded, results driven professional with significant private sector experience. He holds degrees in commerce and mathematics and has experience in senior leadership roles.
Arthur Smith, the current treasurer, tendered his resignation earlier this summer to pursue new opportunities. Township staff thanked the outgoing treasurer for his contributions to the town.
Davie will begin the post full time on September 4th
