Two local events are putting Bancroft on the map. Festivals and Events Ontario released its Top 100 Festivals and Events in Ontario recently and Bancroft’s Rockhound Gemboree made the list. The four-day mineral and gem show celebrates 52 years this summer. The provincial government also announced $19 million in funding for 270 festivals as part of its Celebrate Ontario 2015 program. The Gemboree and Wheels, Water and Wings have been chosen to receive support.
