Highlands East council just signed an agreement that will bring a doctor to the municipality. It won’t be for at least three years because she is currently a student that still needs to graduate. She has signed the agreement with Highlands East and Hastings County where they’ll pay for her tuition, books and living expenses and she agrees to work in the area for at least five years. Highlands East and Hastings County have agreed to each pay $150,000 over a six-year period. The earliest she would start is 2018.
