The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is looking for the owner of an ice hut that has been abandoned on a lake in Limerick Township. The MNRF says an officer found the ice hut on Steenburg Lake March 31. It says the ice hut was still on the lake April 14, even though Ontario’s fishing guidelines state all ice huts must be removed by that day. Anyone with information that could help solve this case is asked to contact the MNRF or Crimestoppers.
