North Hastings Community Trust is asking for community support with two new initiatives. The organization’s new project coordinator Jane Kali took to social media yesterday inviting the community to participate in a new coalition to address poverty in North Hastings. The goal is to break the stigma against people who are struggling financially. There’s a meeting at the professional building close to the hospital, April 24 from 10 a.m. until noon. A meeting about bringing community gardens to Bancroft is also happening at the North Hastings Community Integration Association on Alice Street April 23 from 10 a.m. until noon.
