The Bancroft OPP are warning residents to avoid local lakes and rivers as they continue to melt this spring. They say there are open areas and cold, fast-moving water which can be dangerous at this time of year. Adults should speak with their children about water safety and keep an eye on kids when they’re near these water bodies.
