Bancroft OPP Investigating a Rash of Break and Enters

Bancroft OPP were called to two break and enters that happened in recent months.

Police are asking for assistance with the first break in that occurred between December 1st and 13th. Police says that a building on Cleak Avenue in Bancroft was forcibly entered. OPP sayd that two ATV’s were stolen from the area. They say they have recovered one of them, but the other is still missing.

Police say a second building in Hastings Highlands was also broken into. Police say the building on Peelow road was forcibly entered sometime since November 2019. They say property stolen could include a log splitter, a chainsaw and a rototiller.

In both cases, police say that anyone with information regarding either of these incidents should contact the OPP immediately. Police also remind residents that if they wish to remain anonymous that they can contact Crime Stoppers. They say you could be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2000 if you do so. Police did not say if the incidents were related.
