Killaloe OPP has investigated their first vehicle-related death of the year.
The detachment was alerted on Saturday by the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs about a single-vehicle collision involving a snowmobile around noon. The accident occurred on trail B106E in the township of South Algonquin. Preliminary investigations revealed the snowmobile was travelling westbound on the trail and struck a tree.
The deceased has been identified as 44-year-old Brandon Corley of Cavan-Monaghan Township.
The Chief Coroner has ordered a post mortem to be conducted on the deceased.
