Environment Canada has issued a winter storm watch for the Bancroft area.
Light snow is expected to start tonight in some areas, with heavy snow developing late Wednesday. Heavy snow will continue overnight before tapering off into flurries Thursday.
Environment Canada warns that exact snowfall amounts are uncertain at this time, however, general amounts could be 20 to 30 cm.
Drivers should prepare for poor road and visibility conditions due to heavy snow and quickly accumulating snow. It is suggested that you avoid travel if possible as conditions could become difficult quickly in certain areas.
