Addictions and Mental Health Services Implements Precautionary Measures

Hastings Prince Edwards branch of Addictions and Mental Health Services is taking steps in response to the COVID-19 outbreak.

The agency says it is implementing these measures at their offices in Bancroft, Madoc and others out of an abundance of caution. Measures include the suspension of in-person Open Access and Central Intake Programs, and said Central Intake Services will now happen over the phone. They say they will also close the Men’s Residential Treatment Facility indefinitely and will suspend all internal program level meetings.

The AMHS says that their offices will be closed to all visitors. Offices will remain open to clients, as well as support persons accompanying clients. Clients will however be screened as they come through the door. Staff are being encouraged to work remotely. The agency says that all regularly scheduled appointments that clients have will remain unchanged. Deliveries are also expected to continue to branch offices.
