Hastings-Prince Edward Public Health has now confirmed five cases of COVID-19 in the region they serve.
Two more cases were announced with one coming from “close contact” and the other due to travel. The age and gender of the two new cases have not been released.
The first confirmed case was a male in his 80s that travelled back to the region from Bermuda. The second was a male in his 20s who recently came from the United States. Earlier this week a woman in her 20s was reported to have gotten the virus from “close contact.”
Health officials say all five are self-isolating.
