Hastings-Prince Edward Public Health has confirmed a sixth case of COVID-19 in the region.
It is the 4th to come due to travel. Public Health reports the other two are due to “close contact.”
The age and gender of the person with a positive case was not released by Public Health.
The first confirmed case was a male in his 80s that travelled back to the region from Bermuda. The second was a male in his 20s who recently came from the United States and the third is a woman in her 20s was reported to have gotten the virus from “close contact.” Information on the other two cases is not unavailable through the Ministry of Health’s COVID-19 website.
