Some unsuspected fires broke out at Garrison Petawawa yesterday. In a press release, it says grass fires ignited on Garrison Petawawa training ground and that firefighters used it as prescribed burning training. It adds that this is something fire crews practice every spring, but that this was just another chance to practice their skills. The fires were controlled and no injuries or damages are being reported.
