Local entrepreneurs looking to kick-start their businesses are encouraged to enter a new competition that could earn them a free commercial space for one year. Pitch This Place is a new initiative by the Small Business Centre, the Trenval Business Development Corporation, the Belleville Downtown Improvement Area and the City of Belleville. Anyone can apply by sending a written summary of their business online. Ten applicants will be invited to a seminar in Belleville to write their business plans. The top five will make a pitch to the judges, with the winner getting free rent in a chosen space in Belleville’s downtown.
