The OPP are reminding boaters to practice safe boating as summer approaches and ice continues to melt on the lakes.
The S.A.V.E. team, in charge of snowmobile, all-terrain vehicle and vessel enforcement, says you should always check your equipment before you hit the water. Wear a life jacket or a flotation device and use lights on the boat if it’s dark outside.
