A section of Highway 118 is closed to traffic. The highway is closed between the County Road 648 junction and the Cardiff town site because two beaver dams have washed out the road. But John Potts, with the Ministry of Transportation, says the road will be looked at Tuesday around noon to determine if it can be opened to traffic (including local buses) Tuesday afternoon. Local traffic can still detour around McGillivray Road and Loop Road as detours. The highway is expected to be closed for the next two days as crews work to replace culverts.
