Our local health unit is promoting cycling safety during Safe Kids Week.
The week runs from May 4 to 10 and is being put on by Parachute, a national charity that works to educate the public on preventing injuries. Hastings Prince Edward Public Health is working to teach local kids about road and cycling safety this week.
The health unit has some tips for how cyclists can stay safe, including: wearing a helmet, making sure your bicycle works before you head out and knowing the rules of the road.
