Tim Hortons has announced hat 1,500 of their restaurants – including both in Bancroft – will be selling a special donate with 100-percent of the proceeds benefiting the Canadian Red Cross’ Stronger Together Nova Scotia fund.
Mark and Davida Walsh are the new owners of the two Tim Hortons restaurants in Bancroft after taking over ownership last week. Davida says they started selling the donut at both locations Wednesday. They cost $1.59.
“Given the urgent push to start fundraising, the Nova Scotia Strong donut design will vary by restaurant depending on what supplies owners have available,” a statement from Tim Hortons’ head office reads. “A variety of creative designs have been sold in Nova Scotia during the early days of the campaign.”
