Rockhounds re-sign second player of the off-season

The Bancroft Rockhounds have announced the resigning of another one of their top players from their inaugural season.

David Gajdac will be back with the team next season. The Rockhounds say in a statement that it’s expected Gajdac will have a “big role” with the squad next year.

In his rookie year he scored nine goals and 20 points in 38 games. “He’s a really skilled player,” Head Coach Denny Dubblestyne says. “I don’t think his point totals did him justice.”

Dubblestyne says the speedy winger is prepped for a break-out year during the upcoming season. “I think he had a tough time adjusting, but once he did he started doing a lot better,” he says. Dubblestyne adds that the Slovakian native is a hard worker which bodes well for his future.

“I think he’s going to have a really strong season,” Dubblestyne says.
