The Bancroft BIA is “soft launching” their online marketplace.
Kurtis Grant with the BBIA explains the website – Discover Bancroft – will allow businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic to sell their services online. Each business will set-up a profile with general information about them and will be categorized appropriately.
Grant says payment is being done through Stripe. He adds that businesses will have to set-up an account through the payment processor. “The payments will go through our Stripe accounts to theirs without any payments being withheld,” he says.
“The other side (of the website) is for restaurants,” Grant says. An online menu will be made available for the restaurants which people can order from.
Delivery options for all those using the marketplace will be available. It will be set-up by the businesses.
