Town of Bancroft re-opening some facilities

The Town of Bancroft has announced they will be re-opening some facilities, with new measures put in place to ensure public safety.

The Freedom Skatepark, Off-leash Dog Park and L’Amable Dam Boat Launch have been re-opened. Millennium and Riverside Parks have also been opened up, but only for walking.

The Town says the following restrictions will be put in place for the time being: you have to wash your hands before coming to the location, you must maintain at least six feet of physical distancing at all times, no groups of more than five people from outside your immediate household are allowed and you’re not allowed to go to any of the spaces if you have symptoms of COVID-19 or have been exposed to someone with symptoms.

“Please be advised that all other parks, beaches, play strictures, public washrooms and community buildings will remain closed until further notice,” the Town says. They say this includes Eagles Nest Park.

The town adds the tennis courts and Riverside Park washrooms should re-open in the next week.
