Hazardous waste day scheduled for Bancroft residents

This weekend the first hazardous or special waste day of the year will be held at the Dungannon Waste Site on Saturday.

The Town says you can drop off include aerosols, anti-freeze, waste oil and filters, mercury devices, paint and paint-related materials, solvents, batteries, pharmaceuticals, fire extinguishers, pesticides, vehicles batteries, propane tanks, household cleaners, corrosives, fluorescent tubes and bulbs, flammable liquids, oxidizing liquids and solids.

You’re not allowed to dump unknowns, PCB-contaminated waste, explosives, radioactive waste, pathological waste and industrial, commercial and institutional waste.

The Town says on Facebook that you will need to bring your landfill card. This is only open to residents of Bancroft.

The hazardous waste day will be happening from 9 AM to 2 PM on June 13th.
