Canada Road Safety Week kicks off locally

The Quinte Regional Traffic Coalition kicked off Canada Road Safety Week locally Tuesday.

They’re focusing on the “Big Four” driving offences this week: aggressive, distracted, impaired and not wearing a seatbelt.  The QRTC is also launching its Slow Down and Enjoy the Ride campaign, aimed at preventing crashes while getting drivers to enjoy a slower pace of life.

The coalition is a partnership between:  Hastings Prince Edward Public Health, the 21 Military Police Flight, the OPP East Region Highway Safety Division as well as police services and OPP detachments (like Bancroft,) across the region.
