A Bancroft man is now facing a manslaughter charge following an OPPĀ investigation into a suspicious death.
The investigation began on March 8th of this year when OPP responded to a call of an assault at a home on Faraday Street in Bancroft. When they arrived with the paramedics, police say 69-year-old Judson Gunter was found injured. He was taken to hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
42-year-old Timothy Gunter of Bancroft was charged with assault causing bodily harm and breach of probation in March, but according to the OPP he has since been charged with manslaughter under section 236(b) of the Criminal Code as a result of their ongoing investigation.Ā
Gunter will remain in custody until his scheduled appearance before the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on July 23rd.
