Sandy Creighton, who co-owns Creighton Docks and Boat Lifts, noticed her business’ signs were vandalized over the weekend and reported that to the police. After posting about it online, she had other businesses reach out to her with similar stories. “It’s been over the past few days,” she explains. Signs, outhouses and garbage receptacles were spray-painted at various locations at Paudash Lake and Baptiste Lake.

“Others reached out to me and sent photos of damage they didn’t report,” she says.

Bancroft OPP Detachment Commander Jeffery MacKinnon tells the MyBancroftNow.com newsroom that they are currently no suspects.

After posting to Facebook, Creighton says a former graffiti artist reached out to her to help. “He deciphered the artwork and narrowed it down to how many people were doing it,” she says.

Creighton says she’s offering a $200 reward to anyone that comes forward with new information. She says she wants to put a stop to this because many of the businesses that are having to deal with the vandalism can’t afford to replace what’s been damaged. “I feel badly finding out that others have had this happen.”

MacKinnon says the investigation into the vandalism is on-going.
