OPP East Region report on Twitter that a fatal crash happened around 2:30 PM today on Highway 62 near Steenburg Lake South.
One vehicle was involved in the crash with the female occupant of the car being pronounced dead at the scene. A 51-year old woman from Carlow/Mayo Township was pronounced dead at the scene.
Central Hastings OPP reports the woman was driving her pick-up truck northbound on County Road 62 when she crossed over into the southbound lane and into a rock-cut.
She has been not been named by police.
Anyone with information on the crash is being asked to call the OPP.
