Maynooth’s Main Strip Opens With a Festival

The roads of Maynooth are open.
After months of roadwork, the main stretch of the town has been opened up to traffic. Linda Lang from Brush with the North and merchant Liaison with the municipality says businesses are eager to open, and are very excited to reopen. Some stores have been closed for four months, with Lang’s store being closed for five. But she also says businesses were able to get things done during the shutdown. She said that they expected a slower summer, and used the time for renovations and getting their stores organized for returning customers.
An event will be held this Saturday called “All Roads Lead to Maynooth”. Lang says the event is in lieu of Maynooth Madness this year. She says there shall be sidewalk sales, a raffle, live music, as well as music and food at the Arlington. The event starts at 8 AM with the farmer’s market. Lang says that all stores will be practicing safe Covid practices during the event.
