A planned power outage affecting around 9,500 people in the area will be happening on Sunday, September 13th.

Hydro One says the power outage will be happening between 8 AM and 2 PM on Sunday.

It will be affecting customers in Ashby, Bangor, Brudenell, Lyndoch, and Raglan, Burleigh, Cardiff, Carlow/Mayo, Cavendish, Dickens, Dungannon, Dudley, Faraday, Harcourt, Herschel, Jones, Limerick, McClure, Monteagle, Madawaska Valley, Monmouth, Sherwood, and Wicklow.

“Hydro One crews will be completing important upgrades and maintenance in the area to ensure a safe and reliable supply of electricity to local homes and businesses,” Hydro One says in a statement to the MyBancroftNow.com newsroom. “Crews will be replacing 35 poles in the area that have reached their expected service life with a mix of wood and composite poles, which help to deter woodpeckers. Additional crews and equipment are being brought in to complete as much local area work as possible during this outage.”
