The Town of Bancroft is being recognized for work on its Bridge Street bridge project.
The town has been named this year’s winner of the E.A. Danby Award in municipal administration for a municipality with less than 20,000 residents.
This award recognizes municipal achievements that positively impact programs and services in the community. Past winners in the same category locally include the Municipality of Hastings Highlands in 2013 and the Township of Madawaska Valley 2010. A public celebration is to happen later this year when council is presented with the award.
