The OPP say that an armed suspect in Kaladar is now in custody.
This comes after the OPP sent out an alert that many in the Bancroft Area received. Bill Dickson of the OPP says that the alert was an Alert Ready Message, which is similar to an Amber Alert but for a specific area. He says there was never a threat to public safety for anyone in the Bancroft Area.
Police say that shots were fired at a house south of Kaladar and a male ran into the forest sometime this morning. The suspect was arrested around 10 AM. OPP remain at the scene.
