Bancroft Holiday Hamper Program Expands Once Again

The Bancroft Holiday Hamper Program is looking to expand again this year.

Program Coordinator Krystal Townsend says 80 Hampers are expected this year, which would include a turkey as well as a variety of foods like gravy, potatoes and other things. She says they also stock baby formula and dough for kids up to age 12 to make cookies. For smaller families or individuals, she says the hamper can have ham or chicken. Townsend says that the growth of the program is possible through the program’s donors and that the real shoutout goes to them and their volunteers.

Due to Covid and refrigeration concerns, Townsend says that cash is the preferred way of donating. She says you can donate money via e-transfer to the program using the email [email protected]. Because they do all their shopping through No Frills in Bancroft, they will also accept gift cards from the grocery store.
